Choice Cut, is one of Melvin "Smokehouse" Moore's proudest works, it truly put the lady at the very top of the list, when it comes to giving attention. And catering, to the women's every need. In "Choice Cut" it
touches upon some very sensitive matters and concerns that face man; when it comes to dealing with his i.e., "Better-half", or "his left rib," you got my drift! Smokehouse doesn't pull any punches, "Choice Cut", is by far going to be just one more, a teaching tool to use by the macho man, who thinks that he has got it going on when it comes down to the ladies.
Songs like, "Ain't That The Pitts", "All of A Sudden", and " Let's Get Into Something", kind of sum it all up, when it's all said and done, the man still got to put on the "Big-Beg", or else the ladies ain't given up NOTHING! "ZERO", "ZIP", "NODDA" , 0 FROM 0 = "0" or to cut through the chase, " NOT JACK SMIT!
Other songs that are equally mind-filling on "Choice Cut", is Smokehouse's version of Clarence Carter's hit, tilted "Slip Away", it's awesome and the Smokehouse's original tune titled, "Come To Me", is bound to grab your attention.
These songs have all of the flavors of soulful melodies and sweet, deep-rhythm grooves that were heard in the deep South, the birthplace of Southern Soul, by legendary greats like the late, James Brown, O.V. Wright, Wilson Picket, and Solomon Burke, to name a few.
The "Choice Cut" album will surely rank high among those Classic Soul tunes made famous by Smokehouse's mentors. Enjoy! Choice Cut
