Full Job Description
Hello, we are an Independent Record Label who are looking to work with Music Booking Agents that can assist with getting our Recording Artists booked for shows in the US, we have Blues, Gospel, Jazz, Soul/R&B, and Hip-hop artists, that you would be working with. We are looking for those who either possess knowledge and experience in the music booking and events field, or are hungry to learn, grow, and put in the work.

**** NOTE**** Before applying please consider the following....                     *** MUST HAVE MUSIC BOOKING EXPERIENCE!!!****

1). We are also partnered with Indie label Bogue Records and you will be working with their artists as well. 
2). YOU MUST LIKE BLUES, GOSPEL, JAZZ, SOUL/R&B, AND HIP-HOP MUSIC 
3). SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY & 
4). This is COMMISSION BASED ONLY (it is music industry standard for music booking agents)
5). Independently book and route tours with minimal agent supervision.

Description
Quinn Records TM in St. Louis, Missouri is currently seeking an in-house sales representative. Quinn Records TM is well known and highly respected in the music industry, specializing in blues, gospel, jazz, soul, and r&b music, and the position requires someone with experience in our industry.  Relationships with current music retail stores would be very beneficial.  
This is an ideal workplace for anyone who has experience in the music industry and is looking to grow with a good family company. 

The position requires:

  • Be responsible for completing sales of the label’s CDs, Vinyl, Cassettes, DVDs, and videos.

  • Visits local accounts, makes phone calls, and mails out letters and other collateral.

  • Knowledge of blues, gospel, jazz, soul, and r&b music and a complete understanding of Quinn Records TM’s catalog.is necessary.

  • This includes all-new, most-recent, catalog, and deep catalog products, along with previously released albums that could be re-released on Vinyl.

  • Self-motivated and creative accounts include retail stores, rack jobbers, one-stops, distributors, wholesalers, and online music stores.

  • Learning details of over 241 different music products.

  • Keeping the customers updated and informing the purchaser of costs, the available discounts, and how much volume must be purchased in order to qualify for the discount.

  • Take record store inventory of CDs and videos, on consignment, suggesting which products need to be ordered, setting up promo displays, and more.

  • Keep accounts satisfied in order to make sales and meet quotas,

  • To follow up to make sure orders were received and fulfilled as promised.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with new independent music retail stores.

  • Managing existing accounts by maintaining frequent contact and building relationships.

  • To work directly with the Director of Sales, meeting regularly to discuss a number of different things such as strategy, etc.

  • Proficient with Excel, Word, Quickbooks, and CRM programs.

Salary
The position includes a salary plus commission on completed sales.
